What is America's Beauty Show?
America's Beauty Show® is one of the largest professional beauty industry trade shows and is co-located with America's Expo for Skin Care & Spa®. The event is NOT open to the general public. It has been presented for more than 80 years. In 2008, more than 70,000 industry professionals attended the event.
What are the dates and times of the show?
America's Beauty Show will be held March 28-30, 2009. Show floor hours are Saturday, March 1, 11am - 5pm; Sunday, March 2, 9am - 5:00pm; Monday, March 3, 9am - 3pm. More detailed times will be published in the fall of 2008.
Where is the show located?
America's Beauty Show will be held at McCormick Place in downtown Chicago. For a map and directions, visit www.mccormickplace.com.
I need a show program. How do I get one?
The pre-program will be mailed in late December of 2008. It will be available online as a pdf earlier. If you would like a copy of the pre-program mailed to you, please request it at our Mailing Request page.
What is the cost of attending and how can I purchase a ticket?
You may register for the show by mail, fax, phone or online. Visit the Registration Gateway page for more information about ticket pricing and sales. Online registration will open in the late summer of 2008.
What kind of ID is required?
In addition to a photo ID, you will be asked to provide proof of professional licensure or other industry-related identification (non-licensed professionals should be able to produce a business card, letterhead, student ID, or other document that proves their involvement in the industry).
What about travel and hotels?

Is my spouse or friend allowed to come to the show?
Only members of the professional beauty industry may attend the show. Proof of licensure is required. If you feel there are extenuating circumstances that would require a spouse or friend to attend, please contact the registration department at 800.883.7808 to offer an explanation.
Can I bring my child?
America's Beauty Show is open to licensed salon professionals only. Proof of license will be required. This will be strictly enforced. All attendees, including children, must pay full fees. No strollers will be allowed on the show floor. Thanks for your understanding as we keep our professional event!
Do I need to pre-register for classes?
All workshop classes and events offering continuing education credit at America's Beauty Show must be purchased separately or in a package deal. You may do so in advance or onsite, but we strongly encourages pre-registration to ensure that you get a spot in the class you wish to attend.
Manufacturer Classrooms, the Student Conference and the Runway @ ABS are included in the price of daily admission. Seating for these events is on a first come, first serve basis, though you may reserve a seat for Manufacturer Classrooms and the Student Conference when you register in advance.
I purchased a ticket at Sally Beauty. How do I get into the show?
Simply bring your receipt to the Sally ticket exchange kiosk and exchange it for a ticket.
I lost my ticket/receipt. What do I do?
If you purchased your admission from America's Beauty Show (online or via mail, phone or fax), simply go to the registration area and one of our representatives will be happy to print you a new receipt.
If you purchased your ticket from a distributor sales rep or Sally Beauty, you will need to contact the rep or store where you purchased your ticket.
I bought a ticket but couldn't attend. Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, all sales are final. There are no refunds.

Is there a coat check?
Yes, it is located next to the registration area during show hours.
