Here's Kelley's "secret recipe" for her winning 2010 entry (before & after are pictured below)!

Kelley says: "This look takes quite a process to achieve. The ideal hair type for this look is thick/coarse and preferably virgin to maintain the integrity and overall quality."

Color: Start with on-the-scalp lightener & 40 volume, applying scalp to ends. Process until the root area is white. Shampoo and re-apply lightener & 40 volume on mid shaft or whereever you still see gold/yellow tones. Don't be scared of the 40 volume but definitely pull tests along the way! The hair must be completely platinum throughout or it will compromise the end result.

Once platinum, apply a mix of blue & violet toner. You actually want the hair to look violet once toner has been shampooed out and hair is wet. 

Next, apply Kroma Life Silver Chrome by Kemon. Do not dilute, leave on for at least 30 minutes and rinse (no need to shampoo). This can be applied twice if needed and can also be mixed with your client's conditioner for daily maintenance.

Please note this look is very time consuming. I recommend devoting al least 4 hours for all of the processing time involved.

Cut: I have a -mix of A-symmetry and a lot of deep point cutting going on. Do not razor cut this processed hair or it will be a fuzzy mess! Also refrain from using any heat tools or you will have fried hair. Low heat blow dry only! Finish with some clay wax & spray shine.
