About the Prodigy Instructors:

Christine Renella-CEO of Prodigy Hair & Beauty Education & CE Sponsor

Christine Renella is an Illinois Licensed Cosmetologist, Licensed Teacher, Licensed CE Sponsor, business owner and entrepreneur with 15 + years’ experience in the industry.

Christine has always had a passion for this exciting and forever evolving industry. While attending cosmetology school she also attended college for business, marketing and management. Once she graduated and received her business certificates, she hit the ground running and seeking out everything this industry had to offer. She started working in full-service salons and franchise over the first 5 years, which helped her build speed and fine-tuned her skills. She managed a few salon locations while ranking 1st place in the salons for the most service and retail sales. Christine helped new business owners open their salons by getting them started, recruited new talent, training and assisted them with growing their businesses. During that time, she immersed herself in different competitions, American Crew, Paul Mitchel & helped Wella distributors with setting up booths at the American Beauty Show. She became Wella, Matrix and Redken color certified throughout the years. While working in the salons Christine found her self-spending extra time training stylists and assisting them on furthering their education. That was when she decided to start her journey getting her teaching license. Christine pursued the teaching field, became a licensed teacher, taught for a few years and then became a Campus Manager and helped train and assisted several locations in Illinois for 9 years. Christine furthered her education and goals and became an Illinois Certified Continuing Education Sponsor. She opened up two businesses of her own; Prodigy Hair & Beauty Education that offers an inspiring educational experience to everyone who attends her classes. She offers a wide range of specialized classes with her growing team of 7 licensed professionals who specialize in all different areas in the cosmetology industry. They offer a wide range of Cosmetology CE classes and Cosmetology Teacher classes. They are highly respected and admired in the industry and continue to inspire and motivate all whom they come in contact with. Christine’s other business is Hair & Beauty Ambassadors, that specializes in all different events such as fashion shows, photo shoots and weddings.

One of the organizations that she donates her hair and makeup services to is a Charity. The organizations she donated services hold two to three fashion shows a year and all funds go towards anti-bullying and suicide prevention. Christine has had the privilege to work with celebrity super models and worldwide ambassadors.

Education, management and cosmetology are Christine's passion and she says she is so fortunate and appreciative to have been able to have it all with amazing industry mentors and guidance.

Christine says this industry has truly humbled her through all the experiences she has encountered along the way, that gives her the passion and drive to share with others daily.  She loves the feeling when she has inspired others while helping over 1,000 students become licensed cosmetologists and guided them to their career paths in this industry. Christine says; now it is time for her to give back to the licensed professionals, cosmetologists and teachers by providing them with exceptional continuing education, helping them feel inspired and motivated to take back and share what they learned and apply it to keep this industry thriving.

This led to various friends asking him to work on their haircuts and so his hunger for knowledge of the industry grew. Eric pursued his passion for hair and his hard work and dedication within the industry opened doors that led him to participate in several barber competitions. He shares that his biggest achievement is being nominated for NAHA in 2015 for men’s styling.
