Produced by Organisation Mondiale Coiffure (OMC), the world's largest beauty organization and the National Cosmetology Association (NCA), the USA representative to the OMC, the 2008 OMC HairWorld Championships of Beauty will be held in conjunction with the America's Beauty Show.

Produced by Organisation Mondiale Coiffure (OMC), HairWorld takes place every two years in a different host country. NCA, the USA’s representative to OMC, hosted international competitors and their entourages, representing more than 20 countries worldwide at America’s Beauty Show 2008. This was the second time in six years that the USA has been honored with hosting the event, the last time being in Las Vegas in 2002. Germany took the Gold for Ladies Hairdressing while Japan went home with the Gold in Men’s Hairdressing.
