Faatemah Ampey

Faatemah’s passion lies in understanding the power of human connection. As a consultant Faatemah connects companies to ideas, strategies and solutions that foster a more inclusive culture. Focusing on human centered inclusion. Keeping the people, they are trying to engage at the center of the design, innovation and implementation of the process. Faatemah is veteran entrepreneur. Her business foundation is built with an ideation that encourages individuals to connect, collaborate and cross-promote thereby strengthening their platforms. “Through these connections we will develop strategic relationships that nurture change in our communities,” says Faatemah. Recognizing the gaps in beauty education, limited marketing visibility and the beauty aisle segregation, Faatemah has worked to desegregate the beauty industry. As an Inclusion Strategist, she has collaborated with independent and commercial brands to create new avenues for women and BIPOC individuals to have more visibility. Faatemah founded The Suitespot Salonspa. The Salonspa offers a unique co-working environment for emerging beauty professionals. Faatemah serves as a mentor grooming her team and developing the next generation of girl bosses. Faatemah’s accolades, philanthropy, and community building has not gone unnoticed. Recognized as an innovator, former BRAVO personality and world class educator, Faatemah was the first African American woman inducted in the AVEDA Hall Of Fame. Her steadfast commitment to community after the social unrest following George Floyd’s death has resulted in the Suitespot Salonspa being recognized as one of the most ‘Inspiring Salons’ in the nation by the Professional Beauty Association (PBA). Most notable was her recent Lifetime Achievement Award. Faatemah is a former board member at Women Venture.
