Nick Lujan is a New York based professional makeup artist, team leader, trainer and educator with over 15 years of experience in the industry. He is widely recognized for his unique approach to coaching & developing artistry in others, and his artistic ability to flex and blend styles within the beauty, editorial & creative worlds. As a trained makeup artist and educator, Nick has worked with major cosmetics brands, providing insight encompassing team development, artistry, product development, artist relations and creation and facilitation of educational programs.
Over the years, Nick has worked with incredible photographers, performers & influencer talents.
Some of his work has been shot by photographers: Mike Ruiz, Ellen von Unwerth, Miguel Herrera & Ylva Erevall. His work has recently been featured in the book “Life is a Stage” (Dany Sanz, 2017) and in the film Black is King – (Beyoncé, 2020). Nick has assisted incredible artists like Alexx Mayo for his work with Lizzo in the 2019 VMAs, Good Morning America & SNL. He has also assisted the artist Rokael Lizama with body paint and beauty makeup on the film Black Is King, 2020.
Nick currently holds a position as Global Director of Artistry & Education for Kevyn Aucoin Beauty. In his role he creates, writes and facilitates programs for developing client service and artistic skill while driving results and expressing brand DNA.
